Lady Lake commissioners recently were updated on a conceptual plan for expansion by Too Your Health Spa, a local gym and fitness center.
The spa, located on U.S. Hwy. 27/441, will erect an additional 5,040 square foot building to house a food store and medical office.
Although the site plan was previously approved and there was no formal vote necessary, all commissioners replied in the affirmative when asked by Mayor Richards if they generally approved of the owner’s property.
Commissioner Ruth Kussard had some kind words for owner Fred Schweitz, who was present at the meeting.
“I’ve been through your facility and it is beautiful,” said Kussard.
“Everything up to date, the latest equipment,” adding that she was sure the new facility would be up to the same standards.
Lady Lake staff will work with the fitness center to ensure that landscaping and parking additions are up to code, and construction of the new building will begin soon.
