Five people transported to hospitals after accident in The Villages

Five people were transported to local hospitals after an accident Tuesday morning in The Villages.

A driver was ticketed on a charge of failure to yield after the accident at 9:46 a.m. Tuesday at Tall Trees Lane and Parr Drive, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. That driver’s vehicle collided with another vehicle and the four people in that vehicle were transported to Leesburg Regional Medical Center.

The driver who was ticketed was transported to The Villages Regional Hospital.
