Flabbergasted over shutdown of Lifelong Learning College

To the Editor:

I along with over 100,000 Villagers was flabbergasted to read the announcement that the Lifelong Learning College will cease to exist at the end of this year. It’s incredible that 32 people have taken away from over 18,000 LLC students one of the very best amenities offered in our community. As many have said, one of the deciding factors in purchasing in The Villages was this Adult Education School. Not only have the plaintiffs taken away this amenity but the employees operating it have kids who go to the Charter School who will no longer be able to continue to attend due to not working for The Villages. We all hope you will reconsider the damage you have done to over 100,000 and I intend to attend the meeting on Dec. 20 and hope the facility will hold the many hundreds who plan on attending, hopefully at a day time meeting to avoid Christmas event conflicts.
