Florida Highway Patrol to hold recruitment event March 7 at Gainesville station

The Florida Highway Patrol will be opening its doors after regular business hours on Tuesday, March 7 for a job fair at the Gainesville FHP Station located at 6300 NW 13th St Gainesville.

Anyone interested in a career as a State Trooper is urged to visit the station between the hours of 4 and 8 p.m. FHP Troop B Recruitment Trooper Michael Cagle, Gainesville District Commander Captain William Tierney and Troop B Commander Major Eileen Powell will be on hand to answer questions about the hiring process, benefits, and job opportunities in the local area. They will also be able to assist interested persons in beginning a job application. For additional information, contact Trooper Michael Cagle in Lake City at (386) 754-6284.

In addition, FHP Auxiliary Troopers will also be on hand for this event to discuss joining the FHP Auxiliary if you would prefer to be involved in this capacity. This volunteer position usually appeals to retirees or other persons who currently have other careers but want to play an active role in Law Enforcement or explore further career opportunities.
