Florida Highway Patrol identifies pair killed in weekend accident in Sumter County

The Florida Highway Patrol has identified a man and a woman killed in a weekend accident in Sumter County.

Courtney Turner, 39, of Belleview had been at the wheel of a 2008 Chevy four-door that had been traveling at 12:51 a.m. Saturday at a high rate of speed northbound on County Road 209, north of County Road 202. The vehicle traveled off the outside edge of the roadway and then overcorrected to the left. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, according to a report from FHP.

Turner and a passenger, 39-year-old Nakia Morris, also of Belleview, both died at the scene of the crash.
