A former MVP trainer arrested last month at Applebee’s will avoid prosecution in the case if she lives up to terms of a pre-trial diversion contract.
Christi Cornell, 41, of Summerfield was arrested on a charge of trespassing July 25 at the Applebee’s on Bichara Boulevard in The Villages when she and fellow MVP Spanish Springs trainer Justin Flood returned to the restaurant after being ordered to leave. Flood was tasered twice in the parking lot and the 6-foot, 190-pound personal trainer “violently resisted” police officers, according to an arrest report. His case is pending in Lake County Court.
Last week in Lake County Court, Cornell entered into a pre-trial diversion contract that calls on her to stay away from Applebee’s and to perform 25 hours of community service. If she completes the terms of the contract, she will not be prosecuted.
The pair are reportedly no longer working at MVP.
