Former Professional Bowlers’ Association player Lenny Biondi won his first Senior Shoot Out since October of 2012 this past weekend at Fiesta Bowl when he defeated three other bowlers in the final game of the event.
Deland’s Biondi defeated Ron Woods of Hudson 248-246.
Ken Golubski of Crystal River finished third with a score of 223 and Sarasota’s Chuck Sowser was fourth with a score of 193.
Biondi opened the championship match with six consecutive strikes. He had no open frames in the final game.
Woods also had a clean sheet in the game, but the most strikes he could string together was four.
Golubski’s chances were hampered by a seventh-frame split and Souser ran into an early split in the third frame.
There were 45 entries in the monthly contest. Biondi now qualifies for the lucrative August championship round of the event.Jump to Comments
