Four people were killed and a three-year-old child critically injured when their vehicle left the roadway and struck a disabled tractor trailer truck Sunday morning on Interstate 75 in Alachua County.
They had been traveling south in a 2016 Chrysler 200 at 8:43 a.m. when the accident occurred, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. The names of those killed in the accident have not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
