THE VILLAGES – Franklin Delano Bargar, 80, passed from this life, Tuesday, January 16, 2014. Born in Center Line, MI, he was the son of the late Harrison Clyde Bargar and Bertha Mae (Mallernee) Bargar. Franklin was a retired Insurance agent and owned and operated the former Bargar Insurance Agency of Fairview Park, OH. He was a fourth generation Ohioan and an avid amateur political commentator. He enjoyed golfing and boating, and he traveled extensively throughout the world. Franklin was a member of the Friends of Bill and the Villages Ohio Buckeye Club. He was most proud of his children and grandchildren. Franklin served his country with distinction as a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He came to The Villages from Broadview Heights, OH in 2004. He was a Lutheran and a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Summerfield. He was predeceased by his wife, Joanne in 2012, a son, Jeffrey Harrison Bargar, and siblings, Dorothy, Betty Jean and Clyde. Survivors include: daughters, Kathleen Anne Bargar Buty (Louis) of Piedmont, CA, Kimberly Ann Hudak (Rick) of Plano, TX, Karen Ann Bargar Schoen (Bryan) of Plano, TX; stepsons David Bugay (Ellen), Dale Bugay (Patty) and Ron Bugay (Nancy); stepdaughters Lisa Bugay and Lori Beltran (Hugo); and 11 grandchildren, Gina Louise and Joseph Francis Buty, Tori Hudak, Gregg and Brad Schoen, Logan and Garrett Bugay, Dale Jr. and Alexis Bugay, and Brenna and Matthew Beltran; and a sister Beverly Mae Such of Phoenix, AZ. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church, 10495 Sunset Harbor Road, Summerfield, FL at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
