Frederick W. Rich, 81, of Lady Lake, FL, passed away on January 7, 2017, at his home. Mr. Rich retired as a manager of Installation and Maintenance for Nynex, which later became Verizon, after 30 years of service. He was a native of Everett, MA and came to this area from New Hampshire. Fred served his country proudly in the US Army during the Korean War. He was an antique car buff, belonging to many car clubs through the years. A professional drummer for 32 years, Fred was also the bandleader for the Fred Williams LTD Band. He enjoyed skiing, motorcycling, snowmobiling and boating.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of  33 years, Judy, son Kevin D. & Gretchen Rich of Melrose, MA and their children Callie & Darby, his daughter Linda G &Walter Kor of North Reading, MA and their children Melissa, Colin & Ashley, mother in law Jessie Halpin of W. Ossipee, NH and sisters in law Jane & Joel Smith of Concord, NH and Sheila & William Woods of New Hampton, NH.
The family suggests memorials in Fred’s name to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778 or to the charity of your choice.
