Fruitland Park man arrested on DUI charge after spotted asleep in car

A 37-year-old Fruitland Park man is free on $7,000 bond following his arrest on charges of driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug equipment.

He was arrested early Friday morning when he was spotted by Fruitland Park police slumped over the wheel of his car. He was asleep with the engine running.

He is due for arraignment Feb. 25 in Lake County Court.
