Fruitland Park man free on bond after arrest at Leesburg High School

A 60-year-old Fruitland Park man is free on $1,000 bond following his arrest Thursday morning at Leesburg High School.

David Mitchell Serdar had been an employee of the Lake County School District but recently had been terminated. He was spotted talking with student at the bus loop at the high school. After he was spotted, Serdar tried to flee on foot, but was apprehended in the teachers’ parking lot, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

He was booked at the Lake County Jail on a charge of trespassing. He was released after posting $1,000 bond.

Bring back the pool attendants so IDs can be checked
