A contracted trapper from Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission on Sunday evening pulled up his baited lines at Lake Laguna in the Village of Mira Mesa.

Villages District Property Management has voided a Nuisance Alligator Harvest Permit which had been issued after a resident complaint, said FWC’s Greg Workman.

FWC had issued the permit last week after a resident called the Nuisance Alligator Hotline.

According to the FWC permit, a resident had complained about alligators and said they are fearful for the safety of small pets.

Villages District Property Management did not return a call seeking comment.
