To the Editor:
A little over a year ago we had the flexible gas pipes in our attic changed over from the “approved” flexible tubing to a galvanized steel pipe system. We also had a flow restrictor installed in the main inlet pipe. Should a rupture ever occur in the attic piping, the flow valve should shut the flow of gas off. I also went to the fire department and spoke with the fire marshal in reference about having a Wet Pipe Sprinkler System installed in our garage. There were two companies recommended that do home sprinkler systems. Neither of the companies were interested in installing a “garage” system. I am not aware of the amount of fires that may start in the attic or garage, but some system would be better than none.
What a business opportunity for a person to start. There is always a liability issue in any business.
