Gary Morse’s granddaughter named president of Citizens First Bank

Gary Morse’s granddaughter has been named president of Citizens First Bank.

Thirty-year-old Lindsey Morse Blaise became the bank’s president Jan. 1 after a December vote by the board of directors. Former president Steve Kurtz serves as the bank’s CEO.

The bank has grown steadily through the years, now with nine locations in The Villages and a branch in Leesburg.

Blaise began as an intern at the bank in 2008.

She graduated in 2008 from Rollins College and in 2010 she earned a masters in business administration from Rollins College-Crummer Graduate School of Business.

Blaise also serves on the board of directors of Central Florida Health.
