Geneva “Ginger” B. Wolak, 91, of Summerfield, FL passed away on February 16, 2017 following a short illness. She was born on Tancook Island, Nova Scotia to Hurley and Beatrice Cross and attended Medford Massachusetts High school, class of 1943. Ginger was a homemaker, but did work very briefly one Christmas at a Dunkin Donuts in Manchester, New Hampshire where she and her husband raised her family. That short stint turned into a family business with most all of her family working at or owning multiple Dunkin Donuts through the years. After moving to Florida in 1984 she joined the Orange Blossom Hills Homeowners Association, where she was quite active. She had held numerous offices in the association and was currently a director. She was always devoting her energies to the association, not only playing Bingo, but helping to sell during the games, organizing and chairing spaghetti dinners, looking after raffles, booking trips and lunches, she was always working. On one auxiliary trip, she was able to arrange for her group to go backstage and meet Cesar Romero. Her favorite pastimes were spent traveling in their RV to campgrounds across the country with her husband Stan, playing cards and going to casinos. Ginger was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley E. Wolak who she shared 55 happy years of marriage and her brother, David Cross. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Diana L. & husband, Richard Proulx of Hampton, New Hampshire, sons Edward Wolak & his wife Deborah of South Portland, Maine, Robert Wolak & his wife Deborah of Laconia, New Hampshire, Steven Wolak of Summerfield, FL and John Wolak & his partner, Patricia Zahn of Brentwood, New Hampshire and her sisters, Pearl Thar & Charlotte Barry, sister in law Alice Cross, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
