A Des Moines, Iowa woman arrested on a drunk driving charge was “constantly giggling” while being interviewed by a law enforcement officer.

Bich Thuy Thi Nguyen, 45, had been driving behind another vehicle on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 at Fennell Boulevard at 11:48 p.m. Sunday and was “constantly tapping her brakes,” because she was following the other vehicle so closely, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

During a traffic stop in front of the Lady Lake Library, Nguyen was “constantly giggling,” according to the arrest report. She failed field sobriety exercises. She was unable to provide breath samples as she could not meet the required volume, the report indicated.

She told the officer she had consumed one Heineken.

She was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence and booked at the Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $1,000 bond.
