Gov. Rick Scott has a 45 percent approval rating with Florida voters, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released on Tuesday.
Forty-four percent of those polled said they do not have a favorable view of the way the governor is leading the state.
His rating has improved from a Quinnipac poll taken in June. Then Scott was at a 39 percent approval rating.
A Quinnipiac University official indicated Scott may have benefitted by being out of the limelight recently.
