Green Bay Packers fan Judy Williams had no trouble sharing a table with Chicago Bears fan Bernard Linden.

But it was all business at the shared table Sunday afternoon at Gator’s Dockside in Spanish Springs Town Square.

The two Villagers were on the edge of their seats as the Bears and Packers stepped out on to to the turf at Soldier Field.

“I am so happy to see Aaron Rodgers back,” said Williams who is originally from the Milwaukee area.

The Green Bay quarterback’s return didn’t delight her tablemate.

“He could be trouble,” said Linden, who is from Aurora, Ill. and now resides in the Village of Country Club Hills.

He was right.

In the final minutes of the fourth quarter, Rodgers threw the game-winning touchdown.

Green Bay fan Roger Hasler of the Village of Rio Grande and Bears fan Mickey Foley of the Village of Rio Ponderosa were friendly rivals as well.

“We have been friends a long time,” Foley said.

And for Bears fans, there’s always next year.
