Gun reportedly stolen from vehicle parked at Villages Post Office on Historic Side

A Harbor Hills resident reported that a gun was stolen from the center console of his Dodge Ram pickup while it was parked at the post office on LaGrande Boulevard on the Historic Side of The Villages.

The man said he went to the post office on July 11. He had gone inside and then remembered he had forgotten something and went back to his vehicle, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. He believes he may have forgotten to lock his truck and went back into the post office for about 10 minutes.

He later discovered the black Beretta PT92 was missing.

He said a briefcase containing $4,200 in cash and a watch valued at $4,000 were also missing.
