Gun, watch, laptop stolen from vehicles at Golden Ocala Country Club

Three vehicles were burglarized overnight Sunday at Golden Ocala Country Club.

A watch and other items were taken from an unlocked 2014 BMW owned by a couple who reside at Golden Ocala, according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. An Apple laptop and a briefcase were taken from the couple’s 2015 Chevrolet Silverado. The car burglaries were discovered Monday morning.

A .38-caliber firearm was removed from the center console of a vehicle of a man who works at Golden Ocala. He had arrived for work at 7:30 a.m. Sunday and discovered the missing handgun the next morning.
