THE VILLAGES – Harriet “Dolly” Dewald, 62, passed from this life Sunday, February 9, 2014. Born in Napoleon, ND, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Harriet (Freih) Dewald, Sr. Harriet was a retired computer operator for Western Electric of IL. She came to The Villages from Romeoville, IL in 2002. Dolly was of the Lutheran faith and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Summerfield. She taught Sunday school and shared her talent in sewing by making costumes for their Christmas pageants. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Henry Rossio, Jr. Dolly leaves her siblings, Jolene Crowe (James) and Sharon Dewald of The Villages, Mary Ramirez of Chicago, IL, Fred Dewald, Jr. (Mary) and Denise Rossio of Romeoville, IL, Dennis Dewald (Amy) of Eureka, IL, Duane Dewald (Gina) of Sutter, IL, 16 nieces & nephews and 12 great nieces & nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. The family will receive relatives and friends at a gathering to be held at the church an hour before service starting at 10 a.m.
