Helen Strickland Collins

Helen Strickland Collins, age 77, of Fruitland Park, FL, passed away on Thursday, February 4 2016 in Leesburg, Florida. She was born in Center Hill, Florida and had been a resident in Lady Lake, Leesburg, Perry, and came back to Fruitland Park 11 years ago. She was a devoted housewife that took care of her husband until he passed away in 2011. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church, Fruitland Park.

She is survived by her seven children: Sharon Collins Abernathy (Gary) Zambia, Africa; Roger Dale Collins, Tampa, FL; Shirley Gail Lee Bechtel, Tarpon Springs, FL; Brenda Collins Lamons (Steven), Fruitland Park, FL; Elmer Curtis Collins, Jr. (Loretta), Fruitland Park, FL; Paul Duane Collins, Sr. (Lynn), Fruitland Park, FL; Timothy Wade Collins (Stacey) One Sister: Betty Strickland Box, Perry, FL; One Brother: Bruce Strickland, North Carolina; 18 Grandchildren: Jason, Brandon, Michael, Melissa, Jeff, Scott, Curtis, Duane, Justin, Kimberly, Paul Jr., Marlena, Joshua, Courtney, Sean, Ashley, TJ, Paige, and
26 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Helen Strickland Collins will be held at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel in Lady Lake/The Villages on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. with viewing on the evening of February 9, 2016 between 6 – 8 p.m. Interment will be held at the Lady Lake Cemetery following the funeral services.
