Herman Hoover

Herman Hoover, 80 of Lady Lake, FL, passed away on Monday, Dec 18, 2017 at The Villages Hospital. Herman was born in Hamilton, Ohio April 17, 1937 to Ethel and James B. Hoover.

He graduated from Ross High School, Ross, Ohio. Herman has many nieces and nephews scattered from Ohio, New Jersey, Virginia and Florida. He served his country proudly in the Army Infantry until his honorable discharge in 1962. Herman has been a resident of Lady Lake for over 55 years.

Herman was an accomplished and successful self-employed electrician. That was only one of his many talents. He was a person who could fix just about anything and enjoyed every minute of it. Fixing things was not his only talent. He was well known for his fresh green bean, especially at all family reunions, homemade vegetable soup and not to forget his cornbread. He never met a stranger and was well known, well liked, loved and will be missed by his family and many friends.

He was one of 10 children and is survived by his wife, Norma, son Daniel (Morgan), grandson Sean, Chicago, granddaughter Emily, MI and 6 stepchildren, Ohio. Herman was preceded in death by his first wife, Genevieve. He is also survived by his brothers, James H. Hoover, Sarasota, Bradley Hoover (Linda), Hamilton, Ohio and sister Phyllis Rowe, Ocala.

Visitation will be held on Dec 28, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home, Lady Lake, FL. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
