A 35-year-old man who was highly intoxicated was transported Monday night to The Villages Regional Hospital.
Lady Lake police were called at 9:38 p.m. to Lake North Apartments on County Road 466 where Branden Scott Koons was banging on doors and threatening to kill people, according to the arrest report. He appeared to be very intoxicated and was belligerent, the arrest report indicated.
Lake EMS arrived on the scene to check out Koons and he was aggressive and uncooperative with EMS personnel. He was transported to TVRH where he continued behaving in a combative manner. Once he was medically cleared by hospital staff, he was transported to the Lake County Jail where he was booked on a charge of disorderly intoxication. He continued to yell and curse at the officer during the trip to the jail.
Koons is also charged with violating his probation on a charge of simple battery.
