Hope Lutheran Church to host annual blessing of the animals

Hope Lutheran Church will host the annual blessing of the animals Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Hope Lutheran Church Central Campus at the intersection of Morse Boulevard and County Road 466.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Blessing will be at 10 a.m.

You don’t have to be a member of the church to attend this community event.

All pets must be on leashes or in carriers. Pets must be current on vaccinations.

Vendors at the event will include Strut your Mutt, Yorkie Rescue, Greyhound Rescue, the Humane Society of Sumter County & SPCA, Pet Memorials and more.

There will also be a special visit from the R.E.A.D and Therapy Dog teams, courtesy of the Dynamic Dog Club.

Donations of food, blankets, towels, litter, etc. will be accepted for the Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County.
