Infant child critically injured in Marion County accident

An infant child was critically injured in an accident early Friday morning in Marion County

The little boy’s mother, Kristiana B. Golebioski, 33, of Ocala, had been traveling shortly after 6 a.m. south on County Road 225A ahead of a vehicle driven by Matthew Wayne Floyd, 34, of Nicholls, Ga.

Floyd had been trying to pass Golebioski’s vehicle which had slowed and turned left, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. The two vehicles collided, according to the FHP report.

The infant passenger was transported to UF Health Shands. Floyd was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
