Ingeborg C. Brown, nee Altrichter, 91, The Villages, FL died on September 2, 2013. Mrs. Brown was born in Schweidnitz, Germany, September 20, 1921 and moved to The Villages, FL in 1994. She was the widow of Cecil H. Brown of Jacksonville, FL, and retired from Federal Service in April, 1994. For 5 years she was a shipment clerk at the Jacksonville Naval Air Station, and for 20 years was stationed with the Army at Munich, Germany. Her last position was translator/secretary with the US Forces Liaison Office. Mrs. Brown was a parishioner of St. Timothy Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Timothy and Villages singles clubs, polo booster club, opera club, and she liked to read, played gin rummy and mah jongg, and enjoyed classical music. She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Catherine in 2000. She is survived by her granddaughter Jean-Marie Brown O’Callaghan (Brendan), her great grandson Tamino and great granddaughter Emilia all of Luxembourg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church on Monday September 9, 2013 at 8:30 AM, Celebrant Father Ed Waters. Inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Melanoma Research Foundation, P.O. Box 759329, Baltimore, MD 21275-9329.
