An intoxicated man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly threatening a woman with a handgun in Ocala.
Marion County sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence located on SW 51st Lane, according to an arrest report. The victim called and advised that 41-year-old Baltazar Ignacio-Bahena had been drinking and was holding a handgun, trying to get to her, the report stated. The victim stated that Bahena was beating on the front door of the residence and trying to get inside. The dispatcher advised the victim to lock the door. Upon arrival, the deputies secured Bahena and another man in handcuffs in the front yard. It was determined that the other man was the victim’s father and witness, and was released after Bahena was placed into a patrol vehicle.
The victim said Bahena asked her,”You know what this is for?” as he was displaying the firearm and yelling at her. She then ran inside the house with her three-year-old and locked the door as she was on the phone with the call taker.
The victim’s parents said they observed Bahena to be drunk with a firearm acting aggressively toward the victim. The victim said that Bahena has threatened her in the past with a gun and was always fighting her.
Bahena was placed under arrest and was transported to Marion County Jail.
