To the Editor:
In reference to the information concerning the IRS concluding their investigation into the tax exempt bonds matter, there was the following statement in the August newsletter, “since the cost to the amenity programs (it was amenity fee monies that would have had to pay for any financial penalties) could have been tremendous”. I would have to question why would amenity fees be used for any of the issues since the entity that made the decision to use the tax-free bonds was the developer and that decision was made to enhance his ability to make a profit and for no other reason. To my knowledge, there were no residents involved in the decision to use tax-free bonds to create these amenities. In fact, I would suggest that since the Developer is solely responsible for the decision to use very questionable tax free bonds to create the amenities why was he allowed to use any of the amenity funds to defend a position he alone made?
