Jack Lawrence Malaby

Jack Lawrence Malaby, age 87, died Monday, July 10, 2017 at his home in Fruitland Park, Florida. He was born in Crestline, Ohio on December 15, 1929 to Mary Snyder Malaby and Myron Malaby. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Malaby and his brother, David Lee Malaby. He is survived by two sisters, Sue Holden of Mentor, Ohio and Judy Hitchcock of Fruitland Park, Florida and many nieces and nephews.

He attended Crestline High School and graduated in 1946. He served in the US Navy and attended Miami University in Ohio. He lived most of his adult life in Mansfield where he worked as a supervisor for 36 years at the GM Plant in Ontario, Ohio. Jack and his wife retired to Fruitland Park in 1987. He will be remembered for his good nature, quick wit and long service to his retirement community.

A Memorial service will be held Friday, July 21 at 11 a.m. at the Harbor Oaks Clubhouse in Fruitland Park.
