James A. Emerson

James A. Emerson, 74, of Wildwood, FL, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Mr. Emerson was born October 21, 1942 in Syracuse, NY to Albert C. and Dorothy (Parsnow) Emerson.

He retired from the Canastota School District. Jim moved here in 1996 from Canastota, NY. After moving here, he worked for the Sumter County School System and then began a lawn service. Jim was a good Christian and a member of the Wildwood Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Ella Mae Emerson; sons, Douglas of Canastota, NY and Brian (Sarah) of Oneida, NY; sisters, Alberta Walters of Largo, FL and Martha Procopia of Warners, NY; 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Jim’s family and friends will celebrate his life 2 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2017 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel.
