James Allen DeLong

James Allen DeLong, 64, of Summerfield, FL, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Mr. DeLong was born July 15, 1950 in Lima, OH to the late Wayne Benton DeLong and Donna (Vogt) Crowe. James was a Vietnam War Veteran serving in the U.S. Marines. He was a truck driver and had moved to this area in the 80’s from OH. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, shooting and his animals. Survivors include his loving wife, Patti; son, Patrick (Dawn) Dick of AL; 2 daughters, Dawn (Brian) Gibson of Summerfield and Tammy Dick of AL; brother, George (Beth) DeLong; 3 sisters, Carol Ann (Ken) Hengstler, Mary Kay (Rick) Arnold and Debbie (Terry) Snyder; 4 grandchildren, Dawn, Alice, Brian Jr. and Krystal. He was preceded in death by a son, Joey Rickert.
