James Farrar

James (Jim) M. Farrar, 82, went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2014. Born in Baltimore, MD he moved to West Virginia upon retirement and then to The Villages, FL in 1998. He was the owner of Farrar Network. Jim attended Rock of Ages Church in Wildwood, FL. He loved all kinds of music, loved to play golf and cards. His greatest joy was when he was with his family and friends. Survivors include the love of his life for 63 years, Betty Farrar, beloved children, Christa and Bob Light, the late James W. Farrar, Stacy Chang and the late Darla Jo Farrar, grandchildren, Jamie, Adam and Michael Light, Jenny and Emilio Mola, Cara, Jordan, Emily and Elise Farrar, eight great-grandchildren and sister, Gertrude Spangler. A memorial service will be held on April 26 at 11:30 a.m. at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church, 201 Barwick Rd in Wildwood, immediately followed by a picnic lunch to celebrate Jim’s freedom from pain. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Rock of Ages Church Building Fund in his memory.
