James Walsh

James Noel Walsh, 74, Leesburg, Florida, passed away on February 19, 2017 at Tavares Hospice House under the loving care of his family and staff of Cornerstone Hospice. Mr. Walsh was born on December 23, 1942 in Worcester, Massachusetts to his parents Joseph Walsh and Frances (Diver) Walsh. He attended Worcester Boys Trade School followed by serving in the U.S. Air Force and continued at East Coast Aerotech in Massachusetts and finalizing his life-long career with Delta Air Lines from 1971 until 2005 when he retired. He was the happiest when surrounded by his wife, daughter, grandchildren, family and friends. So giving of himself and wanting to help everyone he could. Loved traveling to Notre Dame with friends and family. Loved providing for his family with support, love and a wonderful life. He loved and cherished his wife throughout his whole life and beyond. He leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years, Phyllis Walsh, his daughter, Suzanne Richards and her husband Peter Richards and three grandchildren, Ashton Rymer, Jacquelyn Richards and Carianna Richards and several loving nieces and nephews and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bernard Walsh, sisters, Maureen Rock and JoAnne O’Loughlin. He will be remembered for Giving, Selfless, Loving, Hard Working, Loyal, Trusting, True Family Man, Devoted, Husband, Father, Grampy and Close Friends. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 12 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, Leesburg, Florida. A Visitation will be held prior to the Mass on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 10 till 11 a.m. at Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg. A Burial will follow the Mass at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice at 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778 or Alzheimer’s Association at P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
