Janet Boucher of Lady Lake Florida, formerly of Saline Michigan, died Thursday January 21st after a battle with cancer; she was 77. She married Robert (Bob) Boucher in 1961. Together they had two children, Gordon (Sue) Boucher and James Boucher both of Ann Arbor Michigan. Janet is survived by her husband, children and grandchildren, Nicole (Phil) Atkin of Curacao and Brandon Boucher of Ann Arbor. She is also survived by her twin sister Joann (Melvin) Roehm of Clinton Michigan and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orie and Isabelle Hand and sister Annabelle Eversole.

Janet and Bob lived in Saline Michigan for 30 years. She was employed by Saline Area Schools for 10 years before they became ‘snow birds’ of The Villages in 1984 and moved there permanently in 1987.

Janet has been a pool monitor for The Villages for the past 25 years where she was a friendly face for vacationers and built many lasting friendships. Janet was an avid bowler, golfer and played a mean game of cards with friends. She enjoyed visits from her family and was rarely seen without a smile on her face.

A memorial will be held at Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake on Thursday, January 28 at 11 a.m. Friends may begin calling at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made the American Cancer Society.
