Joan C. Morgan

Joan C. Morgan, 80, of Summerfield, FL, passed away on September 28, 2014 at The Villages Hospital after a long illness. Joan is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Robert F. Morgan along with her children, Joan (Ray) Betzner, Marianne (John) Montgomery, Robert Morgan, Theresa Morgan, Daniel (Charlotte) Morgan, and Dorothy (John) Redy. She was the devoted grandmother of 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sister, Barbara Gaynord, and brother, Frank Pelkofer, Jr., along with nieces and nephews. Joan was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. and resided in Spruce Creek South for 21 years. A mass will be held at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, October 4th, with visitation at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m., on October 3rd 2014. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery on Monday October 6th at 10 a.m.
