John Brown Fostin passed away peacefully at home Thursday September 4 2014. John was born in Wareham Mass. and lived in Fairhaven Mass. before moving to The Villages in Lady Lake, Florida over 20 years ago. John retired from Acushnet Titlelist Golfball Division in 1989 after 40 years of service.
John enjoyed golfing, bowling and woodworking particularly wooden toys. John and his loving wife Ann enjoyed socializing with friends and neighbors at The Villages.
He is survived by his wife Ann Souza Fostin; daughter Dale Mello of Ocala, Florida; three sons Frank Fostin of New Bedford, Mass., Wayne Fostin of Fairhaven, Mass., John Fostin Jr. of Whitinsville, Mass.; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a sister Mary Simon of New Bedford, Mass.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Sept. 19 , 2014 11:00 AM at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 169 Belleville Road, New Bedford, Mass. A reception will be held next door at The Russell House, immediately following the service.
