Joseph Donald Chiasson

J. Donald Chiasson passed away on September 4th, 2017 at Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages. Don was born in Bucksport, ME on July 22nd, 1931.

He served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He met his wife Vivian (Ganci) Chiasson while in the Air Force and moved to New Jersey after his discharge. Don went to tool & die making school at Picatinny Arsenal and worked at Howmet Corporation.

When he retired in 1993 they moved to The Villages. He loved playing golf, bowling, and was a founding member of The Double Five Investment Club of The Villages. He was an avid New York Rangers hockey fan.

Don is survived by his wife of 63 years Vivian, two daughters, Linda Nadeau of East Stroudsburg, PA, Laurie Chiasson of Budd Lake, NJ, a son Les Chiasson from Budd Lake, NJ and six grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

There will be a service at Beyers Funeral Home on Tuesday Sept 26th at 11 a.m. followed by a graveside service at Bushnell Cemetery at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion, Lady Lake Post 347, or Cornerstone Hospice, The Villages.
