Joyce Bailey

Joyce Bailey, 82, of Oxford, FL, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016. Mrs. Bailey was born March 15, 1934 in Randlett, OK to Mr. and Mrs. Willie Jordan. Joyce has lived here for most of her adult life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oxford. She enjoyed showing and riding horses. She worked the cows, did embroidering and made uniforms for cheerleader’s throughout the southeast. Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years, Mann; daughter, Terry Irwin of Andrews, TX; sons, Tom Bailey of Oxford, Jim (Brenda) Bailey of Trenton, Winston  (Carla) Bailey of Oxford; daughter-in-law, Gala Langford of Meeker, CO; sisters, Lois Whitley of Henrietta, TX, Betty Bean of Lufkin, TX and Frances Stockton of Henrietta, TX; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her grandson, Chris Irwin; son-in-law, Doug Irwin and son, Eddie Langford. Visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m., Friday, July 29, 2016 in the Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016  in the First Baptist Church of Oxford and interment in Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Oxford, P.O. Box 5, Oxford, FL 34484.
