Joyce Laverne Martin, 85, of Leesburg, Florida, died Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont, Florida.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harold Eugene “Gene” Martin of Leesburg, Florida; daughters; Theresa Castor and husband Mike of Bucyrus, Ohio; Deborah Martin of Burlington, Wisconsin; sister, Lois Scales of Sterling, Illinois, and one grandson, Scott Castor of Bucyrus, Ohio.
Earlier in her life, Joyce was a bearing inspector for the Timken Bearing Company and retired in 1991 after 35 years. Some of her hobbies were, camping with the Challengers Camping Club, baking and cake decorating, using and decorating with her embroidery machine, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
A Memorial service is planned on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Community United Methodist Church in Fruitland Park, Florida at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice or Community United Methodist Church of Fruitland Park, Florida.
