Kathleen Marie Luther, 65, The Villages, FL, passed from this life on Monday, January 12, 2015. Born in Buffalo, NY she was the daughter of the late John and Beatrice (Brock) McCormick. Kathleen was a registered nurse and worked for the Visiting Nurses Association in the Buffalo area. She also worked at the Villages Regional Hospital. Kathleen came to The Villages from Hamburg, NY in 2003. She was most proud of her marriage of 41 years to her husband Thomas and her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of The Villages Quilting Club. Sadly, she was predeceased by her daughter, Kristen Luther in 2007. Kathleen leaves her husband Thomas Luther, son, Jason Luther (Emily) of Syracuse, NY and grandchildren, Annamai, Jonathan and Christian. The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation to be held at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Kristen Luther Memorial Fund c/o Fredonia College Foundation, 272 Central Avenue, Fredonia, NY 14063.
