A 64-year-old Lady Lake man was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence after he was discovered Friday slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle.

Michael Edward Moore was discovered sleeping in his car at 10:50 p.m. in the parking lot of Perkins restaurant on Bichara Boulevard. The vehicle was still running, the arrest report indicated.

The officer noted that Moore’s vehicle was leaking radiator fluid and his front right passenger tire had been punctured. Moore told the officer that he had hit something, but was not sure what he’d hit, according to the arrest report.

Moore was transported to the Lake County Jail where he later posted $1,000 bond and was released.
