A 35-year-old Lady Lake man was arrested by Lake County sheriff’s deputies on a charge of cocaine possession early Sunday morning after leaving a house known for selling illegal narcotics in Leesburg.

Christopher Printess Knowlin was pulled over after failing to come to a complete stop, according to the arrest report. He refused to give deputies permission to search his vehicle. A K-9 conducted an open air sniff and alerted on the scent of illegal narcotics. The deputies then searched the vehicle and found an inhaler containing crack cocaine, the arrest report indicated.

Knowlin was booked at the Lake County Jail and later released after posting $1,000 bond.

He is due for arraignment May 18 in Lake County Court.
