A 28-year-old Lady Lake man was arrested Wednesday by a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The deputy had gone on March 3 to the home of John Joseph Baldwin on County Road 109D to serve Baldwin with an injunction. While there, the deputy asked Baldwin if he could search his residence. Baldwin agreed.
The deputy found a green leafy substance and a homemade gravity bong, according to the arrest report.
Baldwin reportedly told the deputy, “It’s mine. I’m not going to lie.”
The substance tested positive as marijuana.
The deputy returned Wednesday and placed Baldwin under arrest.
He was booked at the Lake County Jail. Bond was set at $2,000.
