Lady Lake man arrested after skipping court date in Marion County

A Lady Lake man with a long history of criminal activity was arrested Wednesday after he skipped a court date in Marion County.

Harold Levern Alford Jr., 30, of 4041 Azalea Way, was arrested at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday when he was spotted walking in the area of Lemon Street, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. A warrant had been issued when he skipped a court date on a charge of driving while license suspended.

He has previous arrests on charges of dealing in stolen property, fraud, possession of methamphetamine and child abuse.
