Lady Lake man arrested with Oxycodone in vehicle

A 36-year-old Lady Lake man with a record as a habitual driving offender was arrested Friday by Lady Lake police after he was found back on the road.

Robert Joseph Gibson was behind the wheel Friday and when he was pulled over by a police officer, Gibson told the officer he was “going fishing.”

During the traffic stop, the officer discovered an Oxycodone 30mg pill wrapped in a $20 bill in the console of the vehicle.

He is facing a felony charge of driving while license suspended, a charge of drug possession and probation violation.

He is being held without bond at the Lake County Jail.
