A 51-year-old Lady Lake man is being held without bond following his arrest by Lady Lake police Sunday afternoon on charges of child abuse and domestic battery.
Officers were called at about 2:30 p.m. to Rolling Acres Apartments where a victim told police about an incident which had taken place the day before.
The victim told officers that Robert E. Perretta had been drinking and started to argue about the victim’s 15-year-old’s use of the Internet, according to the arrest report.
He allegedly tried to go after the teenager with the victim trying to protect her child, the report indicated.
The victim said Perretta punched her in the head, knocked her head against a bedroom nightstand and bit her breast. The victim’s teenager entered the room in an attempt to stop Perretta, but he backhanded the teenager, according to the report.
The victim then was able to run out of the apartment and down the stairs. He caught her at the bottom of the stairs and pushed her out onto the concrete where she hit her head, according to the arrest report.
Perretta is scheduled for arraignment in Lake County Court on Oct. 27.
