A 22-year-old Lady Lake man was jailed Wednesday after methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were discovered in a car he had been driving without a license.

The car driven by James George Yeager of 40140 Palm St. was pulled over after it had been spotted driving erratically on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 by Lady Lake police.

Yeager tried to tell police he had a flat tire, the police report indicated.

The officer determined that Yeager’s license had been suspended for failure to pay traffic fines.

When the vehicle was being inventoried, a hypodermic needle was discovered in the center console. A substance in the needle tested positive for methamphetamine.

Yeager was booked at the Lake County Jail where bond was set at $4,000.
