Lady Lake man nabbed in 2014 drug sting, back behind bars on probation violation

A 25-year-old Lady Lake man arrested in 2014 in a sting operation, is back behind bars on a probation violation.

Rocky Narciso Colon was being held without bond at the Sumter County Detention Center following his arrest on Monday.

In April 2014, Colon had been arrested on charges of sale of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell, unlawful use of a communication device, keeping drug shop conveyance and sale of heroin. He had been caught up with 20 other people in Operation Spring Sting conducted by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

On Dec. 22, 2014, Colon entered a plea of no contest to a charge of sale of oxycodone and was sentenced to 60 months probation. Other charges were dismissed.
